His and hers fashion

We all have days where making a decision on what to wear can seem like such a chore (this was me this morning!). This got me thinking about keeping outfits simple but yet chic, thrown on yet put together. There are so many pieces out there which can make shopping seem daunting but there are also easy trends which come back round year in year out, monochrome being one of them

Monochrome

Purchasing separates means mixing and matching items and creating different look with a few keys pieces. Also throwing in a splash of colour with your accessories is another way to change it up. Go and give it a try.

Oh and guys monochrome can work for you too, just take a look...

Mens Monochrome

Now guys if you're a fan of accessories then layer up the beaded bracelets for a more casual day look, or take it to the evening with a classic silver bracelet style watch and a simple necklace.

Weekend Chic

I may have been away for a while but I will certainly try to get back in the blogging game and what better way to start than with an outfit idea.

With us finally getting some sun in the UK its time to get those bright colours out but not forgetting to mix in one of the biggest trends this season, good old faithful monochrome. Mixing colour with classic is effortless chic, which anyone can pull off.

Rock those colours ladies and have a fab weekend.

Hair saviours

So recently I've found myself slightly obsessed with certain YouTube beauty Vloggers, ( zoella280390Sprinkleofglitter, pixiwoo to name a few) who have got me wanting to step out of my everyday routine and try new products. With that in mind I decided to start off with my haircare.

My hair is thick (and when I say thick, I mean extremely thick)! and quite long at the moment so I find that once I've used a certain shampoo and conditioner for some months, my hair becomes very greasy, very quickly.
Recently I'd been using Herbal Essences (the light green one, for normal hair...I think) and I must say it has been amazing. It smells lovely and leaves my hair feeling soft and easy to style. But I started to get a bit bored with it and wanted something different. I decided to try Tony and Guy (partly because it was on offer in Boots!!).

Now I like a shampoo to make my hair feel squeaky clean and soft, and I cannot praise Tony and Guy enough for delivering all of that. Since using this shampoo I even find that my hair doesn't feel as frizzy or out of control (thank goodness!). I brought the one for normal hair but there are so many variations for different hair types.

The other thing I decided to pick up was the Tony and Guy Reconstruction Mask. Now I only occasionally condition my hair because when I do my hair tends to fall out a little more than I'd like! So I decided to try something slightly more intense to see if it would help. All I have to say is that, if you have similar hair to mine then this is a must-have! It leaves you hair beyond soft. Once I straightened my hair after using this mask, my hair felt salon soft (we all know that's an amazing feeling).

So all in all I'm very impressed with Tony and Guy at the moment, and would definitely recommend them.

Beauty of a find

Over the past few months I've really been working on trying to get in to a skincare routine that works for me. I have sensitive, spot-prone skin so i have to be really careful with what i use.

One of the main things that my routine was lacking was an all rounder make up remover, so in search i went. I first researched online to see the most popular/most talked about, and then popped out to the shops. After a lot, and i mean ALOT of thought i decided to try out Taaj Eau Micellaire Cleansing Water. (can be purchased here)

Now i've only used this a couple of times but all i can say is that this product is AMAZING!
A few splashes on a cotton pad, swept all over your face and it removes everything, from waterproof mascara to a whole day's worth of foundation.

With other make up removers that ive tried, my skin feels tight and i instantly need to moisturise, but this left my feeling skin super soft and really fresh (it smells lovely too!).
It is a little pricey compared to regular make up removers but it is definitely worth every penny, so ladies i would go and invest!

A week in pictures...

With most of this week being in my work uniform, the time i did get off was spent doing chores, and last minute Christmas shopping.
Having said that there was always the chance of throwing in a touch of glitter and a hint of red...it is Christmas after all!

Enjoy these holidays with loved ones, eating lots and watching all of those most loved films...I know i will be.

To buy or to DIY?!

So as you all know I've become an avid fan of studs and spikes, so much so that i manage to sneak them into almost every outfit i put together!!

Knowing that i had the studded shoes, handbags and collars on jumpers, i was in search of something new, which is when i came across a pair of gloves. Having my sensible head on that day, i decided to save myself the £30 and turn this in to a project of my own.

River Island

All it took was a black pair of leather gloves, studs and a glue gun. Simple, effective and one of a kind...my kind of style.

Go on, give it a try!
